Since the Board Members of Abba’s Way are also fathers, they are personally and deeply committed to inspiring men to become better fathers through personal lessons learned as well as extensive research undertaken in developing Father’s Heart Weekends.
We have a variety of specialized consultants involved in our event planning, including professional therapists specializing in boys’ and girls’ counseling (David Thomas,vL.M.S.W., and Sissy Goff, M.Ed., LPC-MHSP, from Daystar Counseling) and a variety of fathers who teach/write/lead in the area of men’s issues (emotional/spiritual).
The founders also bring diverse and complementary personal and professional skills to the organization:
Tom White
Tom is particularly gifted in operations, administration and logistics through his expertise of spreadsheets, accounting programs, etc. He holds a Bachelor Business degree from University of San Diego and an MBA from California Polytechnic University Pomona. He has been employed with FedEx for the past 20 years and is currently a Global Account Manager in the sales division.
Phil Davis
Phil is President of DMG Engagement and works to help faith-based films and resources engage with churches for greater ministry impact. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University with a major in Marketing. A founding member of Southpointe Community Church, Phil serves on the Small Group Ministry Team. He is the extremely proud father of two children, Cooper and Morgan.
Marc Kochamba
Marc has participated in events and weekends with Abba’s Way since 2008. Marc and Kim are raising 3 daughters and 1 son. When Marc is not selling surgical instruments in his real job, he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his kids in soccer and baseball, fly fishing, CLC (Christian Leadership Concepts), Knights of Columbus, and golf. Marc’s vision and passion is to see Abba’s Way succeed in “bringing the hearts of fathers closer to their children and children’s hearts closer to their fathers!” It is through Father’s Heart and Abba’s Way that I see Christ growing, connecting, and challenging men to dig deeper into their faith with Jesus Christ!
